To achieve this panoramic image of Glen Helen Gorge, I took four separate photos across the scene with my LUMIX S5 camera. Later, I stitched them together in post processing. It amazes me how the latest camera technology is able to capture images in extreme low light situations. In fact, modern cameras designed for low light photography like the Lumix full frame cameras have a greater ability to see in extreme low light than the human eye. They actually see far better and with more accurate colour balance than our eyes. This photo of Glen Helen Gorge was taken at first light, well before the sun had risen. In the photo, you can see stars still shining in the heavens. The clouds are like a curtain being drawn back to reveal this glorious transition from night to day.
